The first training seminars for motorcyclists, co-organised by EKO Cyprus and the Cyprus Motorcycles
The first series of this year’s training seminars for motorcyclists, part of the EKO Safe Rider Club, was completed with great success. The 2-day event took was at the Daytona Raceway in Nicosia. Participants had the opportunity to be informed from certified trainers from City’s A.R.T. about all matters regarding safety and the correct techniques for riding.
At the end of the two seminars, 10 lucky participants were drawn, of which nine of them won a full-face motorcycle helmet and one won a full motorcycle outfit. Present at the prize-giving ceremony was Mr. George Gregoras, CEO EKO Cyprus and the President of the Cyprus Motorcycles Federation Mr. Antonis Christofides.
EKO Cyprus is proud to declare, for the 6th year running, that it is present in the fight to reduce road traffic accidents on our island, by undertaking initiatives that have the goal to further educate cyclists and riders. These seminars are conducted under the EKO Cyprus’ Platform Safe Rider Club, in cooperation with the certified school for motorcycle riding City’s A.R.T. under the patronage of the Cyprus Motorcycles Federation.
Mr George Gregoras, CEO EKO Cyprus, in his statement, said, “Life is the ultimate value, and we’re obliged to do all we can to protect it. It is imperative that we cultivate and establish a mindset that will work as a shield for our riders. Our goal is that riders who come to our seminars leave wiser, more mature, more conscious and therefore they will make a difference in the roads. The difference that will save lives.”
