HELLENiQ ENERGY and its subsidiary EKO Cyprus announce the start of scholarships for postgraduate studies as part of the Group's Corporate Responsibility Program, "Proud of Youth". Through the program, HELLENiQ ENERGY rewards, for the twelfth consecutive year, up to thirty (30) high school graduates with Distinction and University graduates who wish to further enrich their knowledge by obtaining a Master's Degree.

For the first time this year, the program also covers Cyprus, where the Group’s subsidiary company, EKO Cyprus, operates. A total of ten (10) of the thirty scholarships will be awarded to Cypriot high school and university graduates with distinction who wish to continue their studies at Greek and International Universities.

The launch of the program in Cyprus was officially announced during a press conference held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the MAP Boutique Hotel in Nicosia, in the presence of managers and staff members of EKO Cyprus, members of the Board of Directors of Higher Education Institutions, representatives of the rector's office, representatives from the media and distinguished guests.

In his statement, Mr George Gregoras, CEO EKO Cyprus stated that, “With the decision to extend the "Proud of Youth" scholarship program to Cyprus, HELLENiQ ENERGY recognizes the added value of further training in today's competitive labor market and rewards academic excellence. All of us at EKO Cyprus welcome the 'Proud of Youth' Program in Cyprus and we are delighted that in cooperation with HELLENiQ ENERGY we will give the opportunity to young, outstanding high school graduates and University graduates to acquire specialized, complementary and up-to-date knowledge in specific areas related to the Group's activities. Our goal is to contribute substantially so that young professionals are able to meet the demands of their field and prepare them in their pursuit for more promising positions with prospects and development opportunities in the energy sector!”

The application process for participation in the "Proud of Youth" program started on Wednesday, April 3 and will end on Sunday, May 12, 2024. It is emphasized that the program is open to specialized sectors related to the Group's activity, such as: "Engineering and Energy", "Digital Transformation", "Environmental Sciences" and "Economics and Management". To date, HELLENiQ ENERGY has offered 292 scholarships for academic studies in English-speaking or Greek-speaking programs at Higher Education Institutions.
