Hellenic Petroleum Cyprus (EKO) Supports the economy and contributes to social responsibility.

EKO has once again distinguished itself for its services to society,
especially in helping people with rare genetic diseases by decisively contributing in creating the Chain of Smiling People.

'Nature has made me rare but you ALL make me strong! !!!' was the slogan used to promote the event by the Cyprus Association for Rare Genetic Diseases on the occasion of World Day for Rare Diseases.

On Sunday, March 20, 2016, in a celebration of joy, fun and games, for the second consecutive year, the longest possible Chain of Smiling People was formed in the Free Famagusta district at the promenade of Paralimni Municipality in Protaras.

The starting point of the event was the play centre located in the
pedestrian area near "Fig Tree Bay". The chain was strengthened by cars from the Classic Mini Club, as well as the Cyprus Association of Owners and Friends of Inflatable Boats which presented its own chain of "Unique Smiles" along the waterfront!

The towering man on stilts, inflatable castle and many other surprises for young and old, lightened up their faces, to bring even more smiles!

The Chain was broadcast by Sigma TV channel and Radio Proto from 11:00 am to 14:00 in a three-hour live-link bringing many smiles and enjoyable music.

On Sunday, March 20, 2016 the longest possible chain of smiling people was created in support of people with rare genetic diseases.

EKO is proud of its contribution.
