Appreciation plaque to EKO for its contribution to the Scout Movement

An appreciation plaque was awarded to HELLENIC PETROLEUM Cyprus for its contribution to the Scouting Movement, during an event organised as part of the celebrations of Saint George, the Patron Saint of Scouts. The event was held on the 21st of April, in Evrychou, in the presence of the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr Ionas Nicolaou, the Mayor of Morphou, Mr Victor Hadjiavraam and the Presidents of the Community Councils of the region.

HELLENIC PETROLEUM Cyprus was represented by the Company’s CEO, Mr George Gregoras, who received the special plaque from the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr Ionas Nicolaou, as a token of appreciation for the support of Hellenic Petroleum to the Cyprus Scouts Association. During the award, the Minister of Justice and Public Order stressed the important role of Scouting as one of most significant pillars in the Cypriot society for the prevention of juvenile delinquency.

HELLENIC PETROLEUM Cyprus has been supporting for many years the principles and values conveyed through Scouting and it is one the Scout Association’s main sponsors. This year, the Company has been engaged in a series of initiatives to support scouting, including sponsoring a significant part of the cost of training seminars for the high-ranked officers of the Cyprus Scouts Association.
