Terms and Conditions – Outstanding Students Reward Programme for Mountain Communities.
EKO CYPRUS LTD (AE109) (hereinafter referred to as “EKO”), within the framework of its Corporate Responsibility strategy, rewards outstanding graduates of Public and Private High Schools and Technical Schools in Cyprus
The EKO Outstanding Graduates Reward Programme in Cyprus is a new initiative implemented under HELLENiQ ENERGY’s responsibility strategy and the Empowering Youth pillar, aiming to recognise young people’s academic excellence and support their educational and personal development.
The Programme is addressed exclusively to graduates of Public and Private High Schools and Technical Schools in Cyprus who achieved outstanding academic performance during the 2025–2026 academic year and are permanent residents of mountain communities included in the National Strategy for the Development of Mountain Communities (NSDMC), including the communities of the Tillyria Community Services Cluster.
EKO’s objective is to reward high academic achievement through merit-based criteria and transparent procedures. Within this framework, high school graduates will be rewarded based on their final school leaving certificate grade and their performance in the Pancyprian Entrance Examinations. To be eligible, applicants must have a final school leaving certificate grade of 18.5 or above, and during the same academic year, an average score of at least 16 in the Pancyprian Entrance Examinations for admission to Public Higher and Tertiary Educational Institutions in Cyprus and Greece, as well as Greek Military Academies.
*Outstanding students are defined as those achieving a final grade of 18.5 and above, as determined by the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth.
It is clarified that the selection process will consider the grades achieved in compulsory and elective subjects based on the Access Framework selected during the electronic application process for participation in the 2026 Pancyprian Entrance Examinations and which fall within the following four Scientific Fields of Public Higher Education in Cyprus and Greece:
1st Scientific Field: Humanities, Legal and Social Sciences 2nd Scientific Field: Positive Sciences and Technological Sciences 3rd Scientific Field: Health and Life Sciences 4th Scientific Field: Economics and Information Sciences
The evaluation score considered will be the score prior to the application of weighting factors.
Children of EKO employees are not eligible to participate in the Programme.
To be assessed and included in the final list of beneficiaries, graduates are required to complete an electronic application, which must be accompanied by the following supporting documents:
Copy of the 2026 High School Leaving Certificate
Copy of the Certificate of Participation in the 2026 Pancyprian Entrance Examinations
Certificate issued by the competent Local Authority confirming that the applicant is a permanent resident of a community falling within the implementation area of the National Strategy for the Development of Mountain Communities (NSDMC) or of a community within the Tillyria region.
The above documents must be sent to studentsawardscy@helpe.gr before the application deadline of 31 August 2026.
Applications and supporting documents will be reviewed by a committee of EKO executives.

Personal Data Processing (GDPR) EKO processes participants’ personal data for the purposes of organising and implementing this Outstanding Students Reward Programme for Mountain Communities. Such processing is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and applicable Cypriot legislation.
Below are the communities included in the National Strategy for the Development of Mountain Communities (NSDMC) and the Tillyria Community Services Cluster.
The Programme is implemented in cooperation with the Commissioner for the Development of Mountain Communities and with the support of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth.
