Water scarcity is one of the most pressing challenges facing Cyprus today. The issue is intensified by limited rainfall and increasing water demand, placing continuous pressure on the country’s water reserves. For this reason, securing adequate water resources and managing them responsibly has become a critical priority, requiring coordinated action and active participation from both the relevant authorities and society as a whole.
Within this framework, EKO, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment and the Water Development Department, is joining forces to address water scarcity through a targeted water conservation initiative, offering citizens an immediate and practical solution for everyday use.
With a fuel purchase of €25 or more at EKO stations, users of the EKO Smile app can receive a FREE six-piece household nozzle set, including four (4) faucet nozzles and two (2) shower nozzles.
These are simple yet smart water-saving devices that can be easily installed on existing faucets and showers, with no technical assistance required.
