Showcasing Greece to the world through a world-class motorsport spectacle
Thousands of spectators attended the EKO Super Special Stage at The Ellinikon Sports Park
EKO promoted road safety and responsible driving through a series of dedicated initiatives
EKO, member of HELLENiQ ENERGY, once again stood alongside the EKO Acropolis Rally, supporting the prestigious international event for the sixth consecutive year as both Title Sponsor and Major Sponsor.
The «ΕΚΟ Acropolis Rally 2026», now firmly re-established as an integral part of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), concluded with outstanding success, once again placing Greece at the heart of international motorsport while showcasing the country's breathtaking landscapes to millions of television viewers around the world.
One of the highlights of the event was the EKO Super Special Stage, a 1.86 km head-to-head race held on Thursday, 25 June, at The Ellinikon Sports Park, which opened its gates for the very first time to host this spectacular event. Thousands of spectators, including families and children, witnessed world-class rally cars competing side by side in an unforgettable spectacle broadcast globally, linking the rich heritage of the "Rally of the Gods" with the modern face of Athens.
Visitors also had the opportunity to experience EKO's interactive Experience Booths, both at the EKO Super Special Stage and the EKO Service Park in Loutraki, where they enjoyed realistic rally driving simulators. In addition, participants had the chance to win exclusive collectible gifts and discover EKO's latest products and services.
As part of its promotional activities, EKO Cyprus also organised an Instagram competition, giving fifty lucky winners the opportunity to receive a collectible EKO Acropolis Rally scale model
The limited-edition collection drew inspiration from some of the rally's most iconic years, including 1967, 1969, 1972, 1975 and 1990, offering motorsport enthusiasts the opportunity to own a unique collector's item celebrating one of the world's most historic rally events.
This year's EKO Acropolis Rally, based in Loutraki, spanned three regions, Attica, the Peloponnese and Central Greece, and featured 17 demanding special stages. Competing rally cars were fuelled with EKO Racing 100 at EKO service stations in Vytina and Artemisio on Saturday, 27 June, before heading to the special stages in the Peloponnese.
Beyond the excitement of the competition, EKO once again highlighted the importance of road safety, a strategic priority within the company's Corporate Responsibility strategy. Through a series of targeted initiatives and partnerships, EKO encouraged the public to drive responsibly and safely, reinforcing the message that speed belongs only on the track.
Believing that the spirit of sport should inspire both responsibility and respect for life, EKO remains committed to fostering a stronger road safety culture by promoting responsible driving behaviour and respect for traffic regulations.
Commenting on the event, Christina Miliaraki, Marketing Director of EKO Greece, said: "EKO would like to extend its sincere thanks to the organisers for delivering an outstanding rally. A special thank you goes to the thousands of our customers and friends who visited our activation areas, experienced the excitement of rally driving through our simulators, created custom souvenirs inspired by their favourite rally stages, and discovered EKO's products, services and values. We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the Hellenic Police, the Hellenic Red Cross and the volunteers whose dedication and enthusiasm played a vital role in the successful delivery of this year's event."
