EKO Safe Rider: Strong turnout at the first two-day training seminars

Martin Choy, EKO’s road safety brand ambassador, reinforced the message of responsible driving through his presence

For the 11th consecutive year, EKO continues its “EKO Safe Rider” training seminars for motorcycle riders, aiming to enhance road safety and reduce traffic accidents. Through this initiative, the Company promotes its core message, “We drive responsibly, we choose life,” highlighting the importance of responsible driving and the protection of human life.

The first two-day seminars took place on April 25 and 26, 2026, at Moto Pista in Koutrafas, attracting an impressively high level of participation and strong public interest.

As part of the event, the presence of Martin Choy stood out, a true legend of motorsports in the Balkans, with a strong track record and a long list of achievements. Choy serves as EKO’s official ambassador in Bulgaria, actively participating in initiatives that promote responsible driving and foster a modern road safety culture.

The seminars were implemented in collaboration with the City's A.R.T., under the auspices of the Cyprus Motorcyclists Federation, and were based on the training programme of the Greek branch of the California Superbike School for Greece and Cyprus. Certified instructors from City’s A.R.T. provided specialised training on technical riding skills, road behaviour, and active safety, with emphasis on correcting common riding mistakes and enhancing overall riding performance.

It is noted that all participants received a certificate of attendance and were entered into a draw to win helmets and protective gear.

EKO’s CEO, Mr. Giorgos Grigoras, stated: “At EKO, road safety is not a theoretical commitment, but a daily responsibility turned into action through initiatives such as ‘EKO Safe Rider’. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, we consistently invest in the training of motorcycle riders, because we believe that knowledge and the right mindset can make a meaningful difference in reducing accidents. The goal of these seminars is not only to improve riding skills, but above all to strengthen responsibility and the conscious choice to follow traffic rules. Every rider who leaves ‘EKO Safe Rider’ is better prepared and more aware, contributing to a safer road environment for all.”.

Participant feedback clearly highlighted that the seminars not only enhance riders’ knowledge and skills, but also contribute significantly to developing a stronger road safety awareness. Many participants noted that the knowledge gained could have helped prevent incidents they had experienced in the past, underlining the practical value and importance of the initiative.

The next seminars will take place on May 23 & 24, 2026, September 19 & 20, 2026, and October 24 & 25, 2026, at Moto Pista in Koutrafas.
