EKO Cyprus continues its support of the Blood Bank

EKO Cyprus, a wholly owned subsidiary of HELLENiQ ENERGY, once again demonstrates a strong act of solidarity by organizing a voluntary blood donation drive, recognizing the importance of selfless blood contribution and fostering a culture of regular blood donation.

The response to the drive was overwhelming and deeply moving. Guided by the belief that blood is a gift of priceless value that cannot be manufactured or replaced, but only offered, EKO staff members, station owners, and partners dedicated a few minutes of their valuable time to become volunteer blood donors. Their goal: to make a difference in the lives of others and to help save lives by strengthening the Blood Bank and spreading the message that every effort to boost blood reserves is invaluable.

Immediately after the completion of the blood donation drive, Mr George Grigoras, CEO EKO Cyprus, stated:

"On behalf of EKO Cyprus, I warmly congratulate each and every individual for this act of love, as they responded with remarkable willingness to our call for voluntary blood donation. Only the human body can produce blood, and only human compassion can offer it to those who need it every day. It is therefore our collective duty to foster a responsible attitude toward our fellow members of society - those battling chronic illnesses or facing unexpected health challenges. I hope that more and more people will embrace blood donation as a way of life, so that there is always an adequate supply in our Blood Banks. I sincerely thank everyone who accepted EKO Cyprus’s invitation, because by donating blood, they gave the gift of hope and life to those in need."

It is noted that, through this act of social solidarity, EKO Cyprus and its staff also wished to honor the memory of a late colleague, to whom this initiative is dedicated.
