The 10th series of training seminars by EKO Cyprus for motorcyclists has been completed, in collaboration with City’s A.R.T.

For the 10th consecutive year, EKO Cyprus successfully completed its series of training seminars for motorcyclists, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility actions and the EKO Safe Rider initiative, aiming to improve road safety and reduce traffic accidents.

The seminars were conducted in collaboration with City’s A.R.T., under the auspices of the Cyprus Motorcyclists Federation (C.M.F.), and were based on the training program of the Greek branch of the California Superbike School for Greece and Cyprus. Certified instructors from City’s A.R.T. provided specialized training on technical issues, road behavior, and active safety, focusing on correcting the most common handling errors and enhancing the riding experience.

Due to increased interest, six training sessions were held this year at the Achna Speedway in Dromolaxia-Achna, with a high number of participants and strong representation from female riders:
  • 17/05/2025 | 09:00–13:00 & 14:00–18:00
  • 18/05/2025 | 09:00–13:00
  • 24/05/2025 | 09:00–13:00 & 14:00–18:00
  • 25/05/2025 | 09:00–13:00

All participants received a certificate of attendance, while raffles were held featuring prizes that promote road safety, such as:
  • 10 HJC helmets per seminar
  • 10 pairs of Nordcode gloves per seminar
  • 1 protective suit per seminar

The CEO of EKO Cyprus, Mr. Giorgos Grigoras, stated:
"Almost every week we hear on the news about a new road accident involving a motorcyclist. The frequency of these incidents is alarming and highlights the need for immediate and collective action. As part of its Corporate Responsibility, EKO Cyprus actively seeks to contribute to a safer road culture. Through educational initiatives, awareness campaigns, and close cooperation with organizations, we strive to reduce traffic accidents and prevent further loss of life. The EKO Safe Rider Club, which this year marks its tenth anniversary, is a crucial point of reference for us. We believe it plays a vital role in reducing accidents and protecting human life. Through collaboration, training, and continuous informative actions, we hope to continue contributing to positive changes. Because every life has value, and protecting it is everyone’s responsibility."
