EKO Hellenic Petroleum Cyprus: Supporting the economy, contributing to social responsibility.
EKO has once again been honoured for its social contribution and more specifically as regards the health of children and teenagers.
At "The battle against cancer: When and How?" event organised at 6.00pm on Monday February 15, 2016 at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia by the Elpida Charity Foundation to mark International Day against cancer in children and teenagers, EKO Cyprus managing director George Gregoras received the award on behalf of EKO in appreciation of the company's valuable contribution to ELPIDA Charity Foundation for children with cancer and leukemia.
The event, held under the auspices of Mrs Andri Anastasiades, wife of the President of the Republic and Honorary President of Elpida Foundation, and Foundation President, Dr Loizos Loizou at the ceremony hall of the Presidential Palace, was supported by the Cyprus Pediatric Association, the Cyprus Medical Association, the Medical School of the University of Nicosia and the Medical School of the European University.
Addressing the event amongst others was the Honorary Minister of Health, George Pamboridis. EKO sponsored "The battle against cancer: When and how?" event within the framework of its special Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
As is widely known, an integral part of the culture and strategy of EKO Cyprus is its contribution and responsible stance towards society as a whole.
