EKO strengthens the Fire Service with a new donation of equipment
With respect for the crucial role of the Cyprus Fire Service and genuine commitment to protecting human life and the country’s natural wealth, EKO, a subsidiary of HELLENiQ ENERGY, is making a new donation to the Service, enhancing its operational capabilities.
Under the motto “Joining forces with energy for life”, EKO continues to support the Fire Service through a comprehensive framework of action, as part of the long-standing collaboration between the two parties. This year’s sponsorship includes two complete land rescue equipment sets, as well as an inflatable boat accompanied by the necessary rescue gear: life jackets, helmet, gloves, and a special suit.
With the acceptance of this new equipment to the Fire Service, the operational needs of four cities in Cyprus are now covered. The aim is to further strengthen the equipment supplied by EKO by the end of 2026, with an additional set and another boat, so that all remaining cities will also be fully covered.
At the same time, EKO is funding a training program for a total of eight (8) Fire Service officers at the internationally recognized “Fire Service College” in the United Kingdom, one of the world’s leading institutions in firefighter and rescue team training.
This initiative continues the strategic cooperation between EKO and the Fire Service and focuses on prevention, rapid response in critical situations, and safeguarding the safety of citizens as well as the country’s natural environment.
